SCERT Odisha - NMMS/NTS 2019-20 Scholarship Online Apply and Process (For Class VIII AND X Only)

TE & SCERT, Odisha has published notification about 2019 NTS/NMMS Scholarship Process. Students studying in Class VIII during 2019 can apply for NMMS Examination and students studying in Class X during 2019 can apply for NTS Examination. State Level National Talent Search (NTS) & National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship (NMMS) Odisha 2019.

Documents to be submitted along with the Hard copy of the Online Application Form :

• Caste Certificate, as applicable, for SC / ST / OBC (SEBC) candidate issued by the concerned Tahasildar / Additional Tahasildar.
• Disability Certificate for Physically Handicapped candidates issued by the concerned District Medical Board.
• Parental Income Certificate from the concerned Tahasildar / Additional Tahasildar
• Children of BPL / Annapurna / Antordaya / Mo Kudia Yojana family can produce the supporting document.
• Filled in hard copies of Online Application Forms received after 25.08.2016 / not countersigned by the concerned Head of School will not be accepted.

Odisha NMMS 2019 Important Eligibility

• The candidate must have secured at least 55% marks (relaxable by 5% for reserved category ) in Class VII Annual Examination its equivalent.
• He / she must be studying in Class VIII during the academic session, 2018-2019 in Government / Government Aided (including Block Grant) / Local Body Schools of the state .
• His / her parental annual income from all sources should not be more than Rs.1,50,000.00 (Rupees One Lakh Fifty Thousand) only Students studying in Government Residential Schools like Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya and Residential Schools under ST and SC Development Department, KGBV etc. where all expenses are paid not eligible for scholarship under the Scheme.

Examination Subjects : The NMMS, 2019-2020 will comprise of two papers :

Mental Ability Test (MAT) consisting of 90 multiple choice items with four choices on reasoning and critical thinking to be answered in 90 minutes. The questions may be on analogy, classification, numerical series, pattern, perception, hidden figures etc.

Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) consisting ofmultiple choice items with four choices from Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, History Geography, Political Science and Economics to be answered in 90 minutes.

Selection Procedure : The qualifying mark is 40% in each individual paper of MAT and SATFor reserved category, this qualifying mark is 32% in each paper. The Merit List will be prepared taking the total marks in both the papers secured by the candidate.

NOTE: After filling up of all the points in the Online Application Form, click on SUBMIT. After clicking on submit, it will ask “Are you sure to Submit the Form”. Click on OK. After that the following will be displayed. Note down your Application Form No. Printout of the Online Application Form which you have filled up.

After taking the Printout :

Paste one recent Passport size photograph, Attach Caste Certificate, Attach PH Certificate, Attach Income Certificate (in case of NMMS Candidates), Submit the same in your school. The same will be forwarded by the concerned Principal /Headmaster to the concerned District Education Officer.
