All Private Aadhaar Enrollment Centers to be shifted to Govt office Premises By August 31

Unique Identification Authority of India has ordered all private and all authorized Aadhaar enrollment agencies shift to government or municipal premises such as district collectorates, zila parishad offices or municipal offices from external sites by September. UIDAI has said the process of shifting enrollment operations to such centers should be completed by August 31, 2017.

UIDAI had said to all state chief secretaries that states governments can set up their own enrolment centres within the government or municipal premises with their own personnel as enrolment operators. UIDAI has said at least three centres should be established initially in every block or taluk (within government premises).
